• Gross Domestic Product by State and Personal Income by State, 2nd Quarter 2024

    Real gross domestic product increased in 49 states and the District of Columbia in the second quarter of 2024, with the percent change ranging from 5.9 percent at an annual rate in Idaho to -1.1 percent in Alaska.     Personal income increased $50.5 billion (0.2 percent at a monthly rate) in August. Disposable personal income (DPI)-personal income less personal current taxes- increased $34.2 billion (0.2 percent). Personal outlays-the sum of personal consumption expenditures (PCE), personal interest payments, and personal current transfer payments-increased $48.3 billion (0.2 percent) and consumer spending increased $47.2 billion (0.2 percent).
