Protecting female athletes: Standing for truth in an era of deception
In an age where common sense is sacrificed on the altar of political correctness, female athletes are bearing the brunt of a misguided experiment. Policies that permit biological males to compete in women’s sports are not only robbing female athletes of their right to be champions in their own sports, but also endangering their physical safety and violating their privacy. These policies are unjust, unsafe, and antithetical to principles of fairness and truth.

Curtis Yarvin is a major influence on JD Vance and Steve Bannon. His ideas are nonsense.
It has come to my attention that world leaders like JD Vance and Steve Bannon are avid and enthusiastic readers of a computer engineer named Curtis Yarvin. He has written mostly about politics but also about technology and current affairs.
What might be most alarming to some that our future vice president is taking Yarvin’s work as an influence, is that his writings are largely composed of anti-democratic and pro-authoritarian themes, along with some inclusion of racism (he claimed t

Thank Jimmy Carter for cheap airfare, smartphones and FedEx
SACRAMENTO – Social media is replete with memes showing photos from the glory days of airline travel, where well-dressed travelers – think scenes from the TV show “Mad Men” – reclined in comfy seats, drank wine and ate cooked meals. It’s a huge disconnect from our modern airline experiences, which are punctuated by surly crowds, automated systems and long TSA lines.

INGLEWOOD – Guess who’s back? Back again?
    Why, Kawhi of course.
The Clippers have closed the phone book on the 213 era, but for them, it’s still Kawhi Leonard, on loop. Basketball excellence with a bad knee, potentially historic upside in a heartbreakingly uncooperative body. It’s getting knocked down and getting back up, over and over again.
Because he “always comes back,” as he told us, in his most monotone, in that new New Balance ad. And so, like the pitch

INGLEWOOD  — Lost amid the 19 minutes of Kawhi Leonard’s celebrated comeback was the less anticipated return of small forward Terance Mann.
While Mann missed 11 games because of a broken finger – not nine months like Leonard – his play in Saturday’s 131-105 victory against the Atlanta Hawks showed how much the Clippers need him on the floor as well. He made all five of his field goal attempts and both 3-pointer tries to finish with 12 points. He added thre

Susan Shelley: DEI and the H-1B visa undermine American workers
Many Americans have never experienced a “good economy,” if a good economy is defined as one in which an individual can graduate from high school or college and find a job that pays four times the cost of housing.
At one time that was considered a rule of thumb for personal finance — 25% of an individual’s monthly income was what could prudently be spent on monthly rent or a mortgage payment.
Today that would make anyone laugh, or cry. And what’s worse, a rising numb

As the past threads to the present, the eye of the needle either grows larger to allow in new hope or smaller to keep out the misdeeds of times past. While “Goodbye, good riddance, old year” is a comfortable knee-jerk reaction to a tough year, I caution myself not to throw out the baby with the bathwater, as the saying reminds.Even when the baby is throwing a temper tantrum, there remains the possibility of enlightenment.
