Why supportive grandparents are so important to families
We adore our grandchildren. We share photos and tout their accomplishments. These may include some of their many “firsts,” such as their first tooth, their first day at school or making the team or the first ballet recital. It might be their first day of high school or moving into their college dorm. As little ones, we attach their drawings on our refrigerator and save their hand-made birthday cards.
In 1979, President Jimmy Carter made sure that grandparents were honored and r

“I think we should,” she told CNN host Erin Burnett in 2019 during a townhall. “We do need to ban the plastic.”

Would I wear white after Labor Day? Let’s find out
I paused for a moment before slipping on my white sandals.
It was the day after Labor Day and although I haven’t lived in Virginia for many years, the southern girl edict still haunted me: Do not wear white after Labor Day.
The end of summer break from school always began the day after the holiday so it was a good excuse to get a new pair of shoes in a fall color. Or at least to polish up your old ones.
I never questioned the reasoning behind this tradition. It was just something everyone
